Wood is a living thing and should remain living –
 
that is his motto as a cabinetmaker.
 
He had had enough of working exclusively from plans and guidelines. Of always having to defer his own ideas and innovations. Those who experience his creations up close and in person can see and feel the living quality of the wood.
 
A wide range of experiences
 
Following his four-year education as a cabinetmaker, he was able to amass a wide range of experiences. And he sought further training in various courses: piano making, lathe turning, carving, theater set design and furniture restoration, just to name a few.
But it is only with the development and manufacture of his “Jorasi objects” that his talents truly unfold. Each individual object results from a creative symbiosis between idea, material and form.
The uniqueness of the woods that are used and their forms and the idea of how they are to be used and the function they can fulfill make each individual object one of a kind; distinctive and timeless.
